He is expected to arrive from America via private jet within the next 24 hours.
A specially modified Land Rover that the duke helped to design will take his coffin from the castle to the chapel, followed by the Prince of Wales and senior royals on foot, a senior Palace official said.
According to the the DailyMirror a Buckingham Palace insider has confirmed “Harry is planning to attend the funeralâ€.
The same publication claims sources close to Prince Charles said he was “very happy†his sons will be together following a testing few months, and will walk behind the coffin.
“I’m sure Charles will be very happy to see his son. It’s been more than a year. The Prince is very much looking forward to seeing him,†the source said.

Due to her pregnancy Harry’s wife Meghan Markle will not be accompanying him on the jet over to the UK.

“Meghan has made every effort to travel but unfortunately, she did not receive medical clearance.â€
The Duke, who passed away peacefully at Windsor Castle on Friday with the Queen by his side, was said to have been “dismayed†at the disintegration of his grandsons’ relationship.

The Duke of Sussex will see his family for the first time since appearing with Meghan in their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Insiders talk of a situation “fraught with tension†after the Sussexes used the tell-all chat to accuse an unnamed royal of racism, questioning how “dark†their unborn child would be.
Together with Meghan, Harry paid tribute to Philip on Friday by replacing the home page of their Archewell charitable foundation with a simple message reading: “In loving memory of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. 1921 – 2021.
