Addison Rae made an abrupt about-face on Saturday when she revealed she’s been ‘fired’ from her new job as a red carpet correspondent for UFC.

The 20-year-old TikTok sensation tweeted ‘nvm y’all got me fired,’ just a day after she announced on Twitter that she had landed the correspondent gig.

The news infuriated several Twitter users, who lambasted her for scoring a journalism job that other people go to school for years to earn.

That was fast: TikTok superstar Addison Rae, 20, revealed Saturday that she’d already lost out on a UFC correspondent gig just a day after announcing it after fans objected on social media

She appeared to confirm the UFC job on Friday on Twitter, when she posted photos of herself in front of a black UFC red carpet banner while wearing a yellowish-green ruched dress.

She beamed ear-to-ear and leaned forward while speaking into a UFC-branded microphone.

‘I studied broadcast journalism in college for 3 whole months to prepare for this moment,’ she gloated in the caption.

Addison first hinted at the new gig when she showed off her svelte figure in a gym mirror selfie on Instagram on Friday.

She had on a gray UFC bodysuit and black fingerless gloves for the mixed martial arts competition.

‘I like being little spoon,’ she wrote playfully while kneeling on the red mat.

Another photo showed UFC fighter and commentator Miesha Tate with her legs wrapped around Addison’s waist and her arm squeeze tightly around her throat.

Distractify reported last year that Addison had been studying sports broadcasting during her brief stint at Louisiana State University, before she dropped out to focus on her lucrative career as a TikTok influencer.

The condemnation from Twitter users was swift, with many thinking she hadn’t earned a correspondent job.

‘Wow. 3 long months. must have been rough surely you’re qualified,’ wrote one user sarcastically.

Another person complained that Addison was ‘Stealing jobs from those more deserving.’

Others objected more to her tone than a possibly unearned job.

‘We all know life isn’t fair, but to brag about how unqualified you are is a special level of tone deaf,’ tweeted one person.

Another Twitter user wondered, ‘How does every influencer have zero self awareness.’

The friend of Kourtney Kardashian still had some defenders, though.

‘Lol people mad at addison as if she really stole a job from someone,’ wrote one user. ‘Shes obviously there for publicity and if it wasn’t her it was gonna be a different celebrity. This is not a new concept.’

Another person though the social media star just couldn’t catch a break.

‘People tell you to get a real job and then are mad when you get one smh,’ they tweeted.

The controversy appeared to have all been for naught, as Addison simply tweeted, ‘nvm ya’ll got me fired’ on Saturday.
