Telegraf – The 9th working visit on the fourth day brought a breath of fresh air for the Indonesian workforce, Tokyo, Japan (11/7/24).
A delegation from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker), and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) met with Zensho Holding Co., Ltd., a Japanese culinary giant with more than 14,000 outlets and an annual revenue of over 100 trillion yen.
This meeting marked an important momentum to open up great opportunities for the Indonesian workforce on the international stage.
Zensho Holding Co., Ltd., known for its integrated system from upstream to downstream including the agricultural, livestock, and logistics sectors, revealed a significant demand for competent workers.
The company projects a need for 120,000 workers in the future. This represents a substantial opportunity for the Indonesian workforce to work at a prestigious, globally scaled company like Zensho.
In the meeting, Zensho expressed its hope that Indonesian workers could fulfill this demand.
They emphasized the importance of understanding and implementing halal standards in the cooking process.
Given that Indonesia, as the largest Muslim-majority country, has a workforce with great potential to meet the halal standards required by Zensho.
To support this need, BNSP plans to collaborate with the Halal Certification Agency (LSP) of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) to align Indonesian halal standards with Zensho’s needs.
This collaboration is expected to have a significant impact on the Indonesian workforce, enabling them to meet international standards and gain opportunities to work at global companies like Zensho.
This not only opens up employment opportunities but also enhances the quality and competitiveness of the Indonesian workforce in the international market.
The delegation from BNSP, Kemnaker, and Kadin Indonesia is optimistic that this cooperation will bring great benefits to both parties.
Zensho will gain competent workers who meet their required standards, while Indonesian workers will have the opportunity to work in a prestigious and professional international environment.
This step is also in line with the Indonesian government’s efforts to improve human resource quality and expand employment opportunities abroad.
This working visit is also tangible proof of the Indonesian government’s commitment to enhancing international cooperation and opening opportunities for the Indonesian workforce in the global market.
With this cooperation, it is hoped that positive synergy will be created between Indonesia and Japan in the field of employment, especially in the culinary sector and its supporting industries.
This great opportunity not only provides job openings but also encourages the improvement of Indonesian workers’ competencies through training and certification that meet international standards.
Thus, Indonesian workers will be better prepared to face challenges and demands in the global market, while also strengthening Indonesia’s position as a country with a highly competent and competitive workforce.
The working visit of BNSP, Kemnaker, and Kadin Indonesia to Zensho Holding Co., Ltd. is expected to be a positive first step in opening up great opportunities for the Indonesian workforce.
With good cooperation and full support from all parties, it is hoped that Indonesian workers can meet the workforce needs at Zensho and make a positive contribution to both countries.
This is a significant step forward for the development of the Indonesian workforce on the international stage, while also strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Japan in the field of employment.
May this cooperation continue and bring great benefits to both countries.
