The makeup user used Cetaphil daily hydrating lotion with hyaluronic acid as her moisturiser.

How to achieve the ‘glass skin’ look

Put a small amount of foundation, moisturiser, primer and liquid highlighter on a palette.

Mix the products together with a silicone brush.

Apply the mixture to your face with a flat foundation brush.

To this she added, Rodial Beauty soft focus glow drops, Too Faced Born This Way foundation and Josie Maran Argon Illuminizer.

Experts have frequently spoken about what skincare steps you can take to achieve the look.

Skin which is described as ‘glass’ is when it appears poreless, luminous and translucent.

Achieving the look without makeup requires both a healthy and balanced diet as well as dedication to a skin care routine.

The routine has to be done regularly and includes a lot of steps – as many as 10.

The routine starts with double cleansing, first with an oil-based cleanser and then with a second cleanser to break down make-up and dirt on the skin.

The next step is exfoliating to remove dead skin cells and remove blackheads, before toning to help rest the pH of the skin. Toning also helps the next steps absorb into your skin.

The fourth step is incorporating an essence, which is a thin water-based product to add moisture to the skin. It moisturises and provides a natural glow as well as heightening the benefits of any skincare routine.

Other steps include using a serum or face oil, layering on moisturiser, using SPF and using the right face masks.

TikTok users pointed out the first step was to have ‘perfect skin’ first, while another said that the hack was ‘wild’.

One user said: ‘First step: Have perfect skin’  Another wrote: ‘First. Treatment and spa every month.’  A third commented: ‘Wow this is wild.’

‘Explosive Diarrhea’ Causes NBC’s ‘Ultimate Slip ‘N Slide’ To Pause Production: Report

‘Explosive Diarrhea’ Causes NBC’s ‘Ultimate Slip ‘N Slide’ To Pause Production: Report

NBC has indefinitely paused production of its upcoming competition show “Ultimate Slip ’N Slide,” reportedly after multiple people on set came down with diarrhea.

The Wrap reported Thursday that “up to 40 crew members fell violently ill,” citing a “person with knowledge of the production.” That person said people were “collapsing” and “being forced to run into port-o-potties” due to “awful explosive diarrhea.”

TMZ also cited an anonymous source “close to production” as saying that multiple people were ill with gastrointestinal symptoms.

Spokespeople for NBC did not immediately respond to a request for comment from HuffPost. However, People confirmed that a shutdown began on June 2 and that at least one crew member tested positive for Giardia, a parasite that can cause diarrhea.

A spokesperson for Universal Television Alternative Studios, which is producing the show for NBC, told People that it is “in the process of determining next steps in order to complete production.”

The show, which was being filmed in California’s Simi Valley, was described in a May press release as a “wet-and-wild new series [that] takes the spirit of the classic backyard slide and transforms it into a real-life water park full of gigantic slippery rides with the chance to take home a big cash prize.”

It is scheduled to premiere Aug. 8, though it’s unclear how the diarrheal delay might affect this.

Dog Ejected From Car Crash Found Safe On Farm Herding Sheep

Dog Ejected From Car Crash Found Safe On Farm Herding Sheep

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A pet dog who vanished for two days after being ejected from a vehicle during an accident has been found apparently doing the job it was bred to do — herding sheep.

Linda Oswald’s family and their dog, Tilly, were driving along Idaho State Highway 41 on Sunday when they crashed into another car, launching the dog through the rear window, The Spokesman-Review reported.

The unharmed but stunned dog then ran away, prompting an immediate search with at least six complete strangers who witnessed the crash and pulled over along the highway to help, Oswald said.

“People just kept going out,” Oswald said, noting that the search lasted about 10 hours on Sunday before the family went home. “We were sore and exhausted.”

Oswald said the family then wrote a Facebook post that included a picture of the 2-year-old border collie and red heeler mix and more than 3,000 people shared the post. That’s when Tyler, Travis and Zane Potter recognized the dog in the photo as the same dog they saw on their family farm south of Rathdrum on Tuesday.

Both the Potters and Oswald think Tilly was drawn to the farm and their sheep.

“I think that dog was trying to herd,” Travis Potter said.

Oswald said if it weren’t for the post, he would still be out there.

Pilot Finds Colleague’s Poignant Note Left In Plane Grounded At Start Of Pandemic

A Delta Air Lines pilot left a note on board an aircraft he placed in storage at the start of the coronavirus pandemic, and the message was discovered earlier this month as the plane was prepared for flight once again.

First Officer Chris Dennis tucked a letter into a cockpit tray table on the Airbus A321 he parked at Southern California Logistics Airport in March 2020. The desert location was used to temporarily house hundreds of aircraft that were grounded during the global health crisis.

“Hey pilots, it’s March 23rd and we just arrived from [Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport]. Very chilling to see so much of our fleet here in the desert,” Dennis wrote. “If you are here to pick it up then the light must be at the end of the tunnel. Amazing how fast it changed. Have a safe flight bringing it out of storage.”

First Officer Nick Perez found the letter 435 days later, just before reintroducing the aircraft back into service.

“He had to have been thinking he was leaving his job,” Perez said of Dennis in a statement released by Delta. “Back in March, I was 100% certain I was going to lose my job.”

“I kept thinking about my mindset now compared to his when he left this note,” Perez added. “We were getting good at landing empty airplanes, now we’re going in the right direction. I’m in good spirits. I’m very optimistic.”

13 Injured In Downtown Austin Shooting, Suspected Shooter Not In Custody

13 Injured In Downtown Austin Shooting, Suspected Shooter Not In Custody

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — A shooting in a busy entertainment district in downtown Austin, Texas injured 13 people early Saturday, and police said the suspected shooter was not in custody.

Two of the injured people were in critical condition but as of the news conference at 4 a.m. local time, no one had died, interim Austin Police Chief Joseph Chacon said.

Gunfire erupted just before 1:30 a.m. along 6th Street, a popular area filled with bars and restaurants. The street was barricaded to keep out vehicle traffic at the time of the shooting, Chacon said.

It was unclear what sparked the shooting.

Eleven of the injured people were taken to one local hospital, another person was taken to a different hospital, and the other person went to an urgent care facility with gunshot wounds, Chacon said.

“Our officers responded very quickly,” the interim chief said. “They were able to immediately begin life-saving measures for many of these patients, including applications of tourniquets; applications of chest seals.”

Chacon also said some officers transported patients to hospitals in their police cruisers due to the nature of the scene, where it was hard to contain the crowd and get ambulances to those who were injured.

The shooter was not immediately arrested. Chacon said the description that police had of the suspect was “not very detailed,” but said the person was believed to be a man.

Investigators were reviewing surveillance video and other evidence from the area, Chacon said. He asked anyone with information on the shooting to contact police.

Lobster Diver Swallowed By Humpback Has A Whale Of A Tale To Tell

Lobster Diver Swallowed By Humpback Has A Whale Of A Tale To Tell
Lobster Diver Swallowed By Humpback Has A Whale Of A Tale To Tell

Michael Packard has a whale of a tale to tell: He survived being swallowed by a humpback whale early Friday morning.

Around 8 a.m., the 56-year-old lobster diver jumped from his boat off the coast of Provincetown, Massachusetts, to check one of his traps.

Packard was 45 feet below the ocean’s surface when he suddenly “felt this huge bump and everything went dark,” he told Boston-based CBS affiliate WBZ.

At first, Packard said, he feared he was the victim of a shark attack, but after noticing a lack of sharp teeth, he realized he was in the mouth of a whale that he believes was trying to swallow him.

“All of a sudden, I felt this huge shove and the next thing I knew it was completely black,” Packard told the Cape Cod Times. “I thought to myself, ‘there’s no way I’m getting out of here. I’m done, I’m dead.’ All I could think of was my boys, they’re 12 and 15 years old.”

Packard, who was still breathing through his regulator, said he struggled to get free. That apparently caused the whale to shake its head. Within 30 or 40 seconds, he said, the animal surfaced and ejected Packard from its mouth.

Packard’s shipmate, Josiah Mayo, says he saw Packard being expelled from the whale and fished him out of the water.

“My first thought was I can’t believe I got out of that situation. My second thought was for how injured I was,” Packard told the Cape Cod Times.

Although Packard was taken to a local hospital, his injuries turned out to be less severe than he first thought ― just a lot of soft tissue damage.

Marine mammal expert Peter Corkeron of the New England Aquarium told the Boston Herald that whales like the one that apparently swallowed Packard don’t actually eat people: They are “gulp feeders” that “slurp up as much as they can and then swallow it down.”

Corkeron suspects the whale was just trying to get fish and had no intention of turning Packard into breakfast.

He also said there’s evidence suggesting that humpbacks can be “altruistic” toward humans, which may be why the creature swam to the surface before spitting out Packard.

“It’s perfectly believable that the whale was trying to help him,” Corkeron said.
