As the temperature drops, it’s officially time to think about how you’re going to keep your beloved best friend warm this winter.
And by beloved best friend, we mean your pooch (obviously).
While there is a plethora of dog coats out there, pet owners have been raving about an “incredibly affordable†offering from Kmart that has the added bonus of making your four-legged friend look paws-itively perfect.
The discount department store is selling a fully lined Pet Sherpa Jacket that costs $9 for the small and medium size and $12 for large, extra large and extra extra large.

One proud dog mum shared on the Kmart Home Decor and Hacks Australia Facebook page just how good her two dogs looked in the coat, prompting other pooch owners to share photos too.
“Just love seeing all these fur babies in their trendy Sherpa jackets. Very cute,†one person wrote.
“Just got one for my little puppy! She absolutely loves it,†another said.
Others pooch owners commented that they “need these†coats for their dogs as they were just “so adorableâ€.
A Kmart spokeswoman told news.com.au that the store was “so pleased†to see shoppers and their four-legged best friends liking the “incredibly affordable†pet range.
“These are fully lined so it will really keep your pooch warm this winter,†they said.
“They are easy to wear, wash and with the breadth of sizes available, nearly all our pooch friends can keep warm and cosy this winter.â€
The sherpa coats are not the only pet offering Kmart dog owners have been swooning over.
The store is also selling yellow hooded raincoats in five sizes, with the small and medium versions costing $9 each while the large, extra large and extra extra large sizes cost $12.
For owners who want to keep their dog’s paws dry there are also pet gumboots available for $7 in small to medium, medium to large and large to extra large.
A Kmart spokeswoman told news.com.au in March the gumboots had already proved a hit with customers.
“Pet Gumboots have been available in store or online at Kmart.com.au for approximately a month and have been incredibly popular by our fur-loving community,†they said.
