Aussies have been waiting a long time for Cadbury to bring a popular Kiwi chocolate block Down Under – and it’s finally happening.

After the chocolate makers released Caramilk Hokey Pokey in New Zealand last year, they got bombarded with requests from Aussies who wanted it too.

“It was clear that we had to bring it across to Australia this year”, Cadbury’s marketing manager Katrina Watson said.

And chocolate lovers have wasted no time in nabbing the limited-edition block, sharing snaps of the white chocolate and honeycomb blend to social media.

“Finally found these in Mackay!! Cannot wait to try it,” one excited fan wrote with a photo of the new block.

“So much here,” another fan said, showing a shelf full of the treat at her local Coles store Blacktown, Sydney.

“This is the best stuff! My local IGA is doing 3 for $9! So I got 1 top deck/caramilk and 2 hokey pokey caramilk,” a third person added.

But it won’t be around for long with the block expected to “fly off the shelves”, according to Cadbury.

“Caramilk is one of our most sought-after chocolate blocks and what better way to continue the Caramilk frenzy than by blending your much-loved caramelised white chocolate with crunchy golden honeycomb pieces?” Ms Watson said.

“We know Aussies will love this golden gem just as much as the Kiwis did.”

However, some who have already tasted the new treat said the honeycomb addition makes it a bit “too sweet”.

Guess we’re going to have to try it for ourselves.

The new block is available in all leading supermarkets and convenience stores nationwide for $5.

Woolies currently have it for on special for $3.50, while Coles have a two for $5 deal.
