A new father was left in a state of utter panic after his wife switched out their baby daughter for another infant in a hilarious prank to test whether he would notice that the child in front of him wasn’t actually their little girl.
Influencer Kat Stickler, from Florida, shared a video of her sneaky switcheroo on TikTok, where she revealed that she had enlisted the help of another mother-and-child duo to help her fool her husband, Mike.Â
At the start of the clip, Kat shows off her one-year-old daughter MK, introducing her as ‘baby number one’ while sharing footage of her sitting in a black stroller. She then reveals the stand-in infant, referred to only as ‘baby number two’, who she dressed up in the same outfit and yellow hair bow as her own child, before putting her into MK’s stroller.Â
‘Now for the baby swap,’ she says. ‘Here’s baby number one [MK] and we’re going to switch her with baby number two.’Â

Hang on… In the clip, Kat wheels her daughter’s stroller into the living room and asks Mike to take her out of it, leaving him staring at the infant in bewilderment for several secondsÂ
Kat set up her camera to film the entire scene, then wheeled MK’s stroller into the living room, leaving it in front of her husband Mike.Â
‘Can you get her out of her stroller please?’ she asks her husband, before casually walking out of the room.   Â
Mike sits down in front of the stroller and stares at the baby girl in front of him for several seconds with a confused look on his face. He then does a double take, before leaping up from his seat and leaning towards the infant to remove her from the stroller.Â
‘This is not our baby. What are you? This is not our baby,’ he yells after his wife in a panic.Â
Kat simply replies, ‘What do you mean?’ while attempting to hold back laughter – all while her husband is attempting to remove the unfamiliar child from her safety belt. Â
Oh no! After staring at the child for several seconds, Mike flies into a panic, yelling at Kat that ‘this isn’t our baby’ while going to remove the infant from the stroller Â
Sound the alarm! Mike becomes increasingly distressed as he questions his wife about the identity of the infant, questioning if it is a prank, before asking if she picked up the wrong child
Anonymous: ‘Whose baby is this?’ he questions his wife, before suggesting that she may have brought the wrong infant home from the parkÂ
‘Katherine! This is… what are you… is this a prank?’ he sputters in a high-pitched voice, while picking up the little girl. ‘Whose baby is this? Are you pranking me right now? Where is MK?’
He then attempts to work out exactly what has happened, yelling at his wife that ‘this is not our baby’, before asking her: ‘You went to the park, right?’Â
Kat remains silent as her husband fires off questions, becoming increasing concerned about the situation.Â
‘This is not our baby! Katherine this is not our baby, this is not funny,’ he yells. ‘Where is MK?’Â
At this point, Kat’s resolve cracks and she walks towards her husband laughing, admitting: ‘I’m pranking you, I’m sorry!’Â Â

Mike lets out a stunned sigh, before admonishing his wife: ‘That’s not funny! Oh my god that’s not funny! This is not our baby. Whose baby is this?’Â
Laughing, Kat replies: ‘It’s Shannon’s, she’s right outside,’ while her husband sinks to the sofa in relief, with his head in his hands.Â
‘My heart is beating so fast, I thought you literally lost our child,’ he tells her, before bursting into panicked laughter. Â
While Mike was left horrified by the prank – the couple’s TikTok fans couldn’t help but share their delight at seeing his reaction to the baby swap, with many praising the dedicated dad for still treating the unknown infant with such care.Â
‘I love that his first instinct is to pick her up and protect her,’ one person wrote. ‘Like he thought his kid is missing and still [thought]: “Oh this poor other baby though!”‘Â

Other viewers noted that the reaction to the video indicated how ‘low the bar is set for men’, with one commenting: ‘The bar for men is so low that the fact that he knows what his baby looks like is so impressive to us.’Â
‘I’m confused [about] people acting so surprised that he was so caring for another baby,’ another person added. ‘What else were people expecting?’Â
The video was the latest in a long line of husband-and-wife pranks shared by Kat and Mike – however this proved to be one of their most popular, racking up more than 11.9 million views and more than 1.9 million likes.Â
However, the prank clip also proved to be one of their last as a couple; weeks after sharing it on TikTok, the couple announced that they were separating, and have since been documenting their attempt to figure out how to co-parent MK while living apart. Â
