‘They really need our help’: Elyse Knowles urges people to holiday at struggling rural communities affected by recent bushfires
Last month, Australian model Elyse Knowles enjoyed a road trip from Melbourne back to her home in Byron Bay, where she witnessed the devastating affects of bushfires on communities in the South Coast of New South Wales.
The 27-year-old appeared on The Morning Show on Thursday to encourage others to ‘holiday in Australia’ to help those areas get back on their feet.
‘It really did cut quite deep going through these towns, talking to the community there… and most importantly finding out how we can help,’ she told hosts Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur.

‘Get the campervan out or get in the car and go stay at a caravan park because they really need our help,’ she urged.
‘They need us to buy food, stay in accommodation and have fun. (Australia) is a beautiful country and we need to enjoy it’.
The Myer ambassador also shared a series of stunning photos that she took on the trip with her boyfriend Josh Barker.
