Alfamart together with LAZISNU Distributed Inflatable Boats to Three Affected Provinces

The Central Executive (PP) of NU Care-LAZISNU together with PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (Alfamart) distributed aid in the form of rubber boats in three flood-affected areas, namely Central Java, East Java and DKI Jakarta.

The assistance comes from Alfamart consumer donations during January 2021.

“Alhamdulillah, the results of our collaboration between Alfamart and LAZISNU in the Alfamart consumer donation collection program in January 2021, have been channeled back to the community, through LAZISNU,” said Corporate Communication GM Alfamart, Nur Rachman, via written message, on Sunday (28/02 / 2021) in Jakarta.

Rachman hopes that this assistance can be useful and in accordance with the needs of the people affected by the floods in the three provinces.
Meanwhile, the person in charge of the NU Care-LAZISNU and Alfamart collaboration program, Nur Hasan, said that the distribution of assistance was also part of the Hijriah version of the 98th Harlah commemoration, which falls on 16 Rajab 1442 or 27 February 2021.

“In commemoration of the 98th NU Harlah Peak, last night (Saturday) PBNU held Tahlil Muassis NU and Prayers for the Safety of the Nation at the Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta. Then today (Sunday) we NU Care-LAZISNU, under the banner of NU Cares for Humanity, moved to Semarang, to distribute aid to flood-affected residents, the result of cooperation with Alfamart. This (assistance) is part of the commemoration of the NU Harlah Peak too, “said Hasan.

The rubber boat assistance was handed over by PP NU Care-LAZISNU to the Head of the Central Java NU Care-LAZISNU Regional Management at the Central Java PWNU Building, Jl Dokter Cipto, No.180, Karangtempel, Semarang.

“Assistance was received directly by the Head of NU Care-LAZISNU Central Java, Muhammad Mahsun, for the flood disaster management program that hit Semarang, Kendal, Demak, Kudus, Pati Regency, and other areas in Central Java,” Hasan explained.

Hasan also explained that similar assistance was distributed in East Java and DKI Jakarta, as an effort to deal with floods carried out by the NU Care for Humanity Team.

“For operational needs, this rubber boat is an urgent need for the distribution of food aid and logistics to flood-affected residents, which in some areas the water level can reach adult chests. Aid is also distributed to handle floods in East Java and DKI Jakarta, “he said

He added that the collaboration with Alfamart had been running for four years, starting from 2017, with various programs in the fields of economy, education, health and humanity.
