There’s nothing like a freebie – especially when it comes to Bunnings.

The hardware store has been commended by shoppers who have discovered a bunch of hidden freebies in the aisles.

It comes after a Melbourne mother shared a Facebook post in the group Markdown Addicts Australia, about a “random” item she found at her local store with a note attached.

It read: “You found a Bunning blow up hammer I’m yours.”

She said staff had also handed her daughter a free colouring kit with pencils, ruler and a pencil case.

“I also found in a random aisle this blow up hammer sitting on a shelf,” she added.

Her post has received hundreds of ‘likes’ with fellow Melburnians also sharing their freebie experiences.

“We found a Bunnings drinks bottle on their outdoor settings, it had a tag on it saying finders keepers! The lady on the till said we can just take it,” one woman wrote.

“Our 3 kids all got basketballs last Sunday they were so excited,” said another.

One customer said her almost four-year-old daughter is so “Bunnings crazy” she screams in excitement at the top of her lungs whenever they go there.

“A lady gave her a Bunnings bear & a blow up hammer once. I just want to get her a Bunnings T-shirt but haven’t seen them for ages,” she continued.

The hardware store also host a variety of free DIY workshops, kids activities and in-store events that are organised and run locally through each store.
