Fahri Hamzah Supports ASABRI's Corruption Investigator

Telegraf – Fahri Hamzah (Deputy Chair of the 2014-2019 House of Representatives) is known as a politician who often criticizes Jokowi’s various policies.

This time, the man who was born on November 10, 1971 tweeted in support of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia (Kejagung RI), which was working in silence on ASABRI’s #megaskandalkorupsi.

“This is the time to provide support,” Fahri Hamzah said via Twitter. The man who was born in Utan, Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara, November 10, 1971, was first known to the public when he demonstrated during the 1998 reform era.

Jokowi’s “political enemy” dismissed the news of his support for the prosecutor’s office because he had received the Mahaputera Star award. “The AGO is doing a good job for the nation, yes we support it,” said Fahri, who has been a member of the DPR for 15 years and a member of the MPR for several years.

In his tweet on Twitter, Fahri hopes that the AGO can solve the Jiwasraya and ASABRI cases. Because according to him, there are allegations of large state losses from the case. Investigators at the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) seized a 3.2 hectare plot of land related to the PT Asabri (Persero) corruption case in the Bambu Apus area, Cipayung, East Jakarta.

Previously, investigators (AGO) were also moving to follow up on the findings of 27 assets belonging to the suspect, the former president director of ASABRI.

There were 31 certificates, tankers 20 other ships including the Ferrari car were also confiscated. The AGO is carrying out President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) ‘s message which emphasizes the importance of the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office in maintaining the’ cleanliness’ of the institution.

For Jokowi, the prosecutor’s office also represents the face of the government regarding law enforcement, eradicating corruption, and guarding national development. Without a clean prosecutor’s office, Jokowi said, one foundation of public trust in law enforcement in Indonesia would automatically be eroded.

Jokowi appreciated the prosecutor’s efforts to continue seeking to recover corrupted state assets. As the holder of the government’s power, he said, the prosecutor’s office must also work hard to save state assets.
