A search has been launched for a red car that was seen driving away from the scene of three suspicious bushfires.Â
Strike Force Myler was formed to investigate the bushfires within the Castlereagh and Londonderry areas, north of Sydney’s Penrith, from December 2019.Â
Police released images of the 2002 Toyota Rav 4, with yellow and black New South Wales registration plates, which was seen driving in the area at the time.Â

The car was seen travelling in areas surrounding all three fires before and after they were lit
Emergency crews were called to Firetrail and Smeeton roads in Castlereagh after reports of two fires in the area at 2.35pm on Tuesday, December, 3, 2019.
At about 3.10pm, a third bush fire was reported on Wilshire Road, Londonderry.
Fire fighters spent several hours battling the blazes, which destroyed 40 hectares of bushland.   Â
The blazes were sparked during one of the worst bushfire seasons.Â
