Queen Letizia of Spain looks polished in a teal Hugo Boss dress as she joined King Felipe to present an actress with an award – while sporting her natural hair colour.  

The royal, 48, presented a Gold Medal of Merit in the Fine Arts to Spanish actress Julieta Serrano during the awarding ceremony held at El Pardo Palace in Madrid, Spain, on Wednesday. 

Opting for a natural look during the ceremony, she left her dark tresses hanging around her shoulders in sleek lines, and she even displayed a stunning stripe of grey hair.

The Gold Medal for Merit in the Fine Arts is awarded by the Spanish ministry of culture to individuals or organizations excelling in artistic and cultural works.

It is also given to those who intervene in the promotion of art and culture and the conservation of the artistic heritage. 

She also presented Cuban singer Omara Portuondo and Spanish actress Rossy de Palma with awards.

Letizia opted for a favourite recycled teal dress by Hugo Boss for the engagement this afternoon.

Letizia opted for a favourite recycled teal dress by Hugo Boss for the engagement this afternoon as she presented Cuban singer Omara Portuondo (centre) with an award 

The midi length sleeveless number was made with a built-in belt of the same colour and pocket and featured a slit detail at the front.   

The mother-of-two paired her look with some nude court heels as she engaged in animated chats with those winning awards. 

She kept her accessories minimal, only sporting some gold hoop earrings with a complementary blue gem and a gold ring.   

King Felipe, meanwhile, looked dapper in a navy pinstripe suit which he paired with burgundy shoes and a matching tie. 

The King and Queen sported face coverings to keep safe as they presented Spanish actress Rossy de Palma with her award 

Both the King and Queen sported white face masks due to Covid regulations still in place in Spain. 

Last week, the royal proved she was the champion of the high street as she stepped out today in a recycled £85 Massimo Dutti dress.

She joined South Korean First Lady Kim Jung-Sook for a trip to the Spanish National Organisation of the Blind (ONCE) in Madrid.

The royals welcomed South Korean President Moon Jae-in and his wife at the Royal Palace, in the first state visit to Spain by a foreign leader since the pandemic began. 

For her engagement today, Letizia exuded elegance in a black and white spotted print dress from Spanish brand Massimo Dutti.

The royal donned the sophisticated number in July 2020, when touring Asturias with her husband.
