A tradie on the Central Coast has turned heads after helping an elderly woman cross a busy intersection while on a job.
Alex James, who runs SABEL Rigging and Scaffolding, said he spotted the heartwarming moment while on his lunch break, ripping out his phone to capture the tradesman’s good deed, which is believed to have taken place between Gertrude Place and Shortland Street in Gosford.
“I work in the same site as the guy in the photo,†he told the Mail.
“The little old lady was standing at the crossing and the guy in the photo walked up to her and asked if she wanted help crossing the road.
“She grabbed his hand and he walked her to the other side and told her to have a lovely day.â€
Mr James said the tradie’s thoughtfulness proved “gentlemen still exist.â€
“It just shows that gentlemen still exist and that a random act of kindness can make someone’s day,†he said.
