A woman was filmed taking her regular aerobics class unaware of a military coup developing behind her.
Masked Khing Hnin Wai was filmed taking the fitness class in Myanmar.
As she bopped on the spot to an upbeat tune, a number of armoured vehicles enter the scene behind her as part of a military takeover.
Khing continued dancing for three minutes as the cars, followed by a number of motorbikes, hurl towards and then past what appears to be a checkpoint in the background.
According to her Facebook profile, she is a physical education teacher employed by the country’s Ministry of Education.
The clip has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times – with some calling it “the first great art of the 21st century” while others branded it a “2021 vibe”.
Others were impressed by the seamless timing of the music to the armoured vehicles entering the scene.
One YouTube viewer wrote: “Perfect music dancing while a convoy is en route to a coup.”
Another added: “What’s even more ironic is the fact the song title is ‘Ampun Bang Jago’, literally a sarcastic Indonesian phrase for arrogant policy/military makers.”
One viewer also saw the funny side, adding: “At least some music to dance to during the anarchy.”
However, some viewers began to wonder if the video was in fact a little too good – suggesting she could have been performing in front of a green screen.
But others will knowledge of the area located the exact spot she was performing from on an aerial map to show there was in fact a military checkpoint of some sort behind her.
Khing later posted other clips of her dancing in the same spot, but did not address the earlier video.
Footage emerged after Myanmar’s military has seized power in a coup against the democratically elected government, arresting leader Aung San Suu Kyi, and sparked a fresh political crisis.
The coup was carried out during a series of dawn raids on Monday, just over two months after Suu Kyi’s National League for Democracy (NLD) party won a landslide in a general election that the military disputed.
Suu Kyi is popular at home but has been condemned for her treatment of Rohingya refugees and has defended the army’s crackdown on the minority, which has been called a genocide with more than 10,000 deaths, according to the UN.
