A woman who makes ‘stuck fetish’ content has revealed that she got trapped inside a metal folding chair and had to be freed by the jaws of life.

Sydney Jo, 27, from Ann Arbor, Michigan, documented her panic on TikTok after she squeezed herself into a small opening in the chair and realized that she couldn’t get herself out.

‘For the last 30 min, I have been trying to get unstuck out of this metal chair,’ she said. ‘I’m literally stuck in it and I can’t get out and I am panicking because I don’t know what to do.’

Whoops! Sydney is a ‘stuck fetish’ creator and was working on her latest video when the stunt backfired. She ended up having to call the fire department to rescue her

The video showed her standing with her waist trapped between the seat of the chair and the bars attached to the legs.

Sydney explained that she couldn’t suck in her stomach and wiggle herself out because the chair was caught on her tail bone and pelvic bone.

‘I don’t know how I got in,’ she admitted, adding: ‘I can’t get out of it. I tried absolutely f**king everything and I can’t.’

Panicked viewers offered Sydney suggestions in the comments, telling her to unscrew the screws or to try getting out the way she got in. Some just wanted to know why she was stuck in the chair in the first place.

The TikToker later shared that she had to call the fire department and was feeling ’embarrassed’ that they had to use the jaws of life to free her.

In her viral follow-up video, which has been viewed more than 7.3 million times, the firefighters first used bolt cutters to try to release her.

When that failed, they brought out the jaws of life — a hydraulic cutter typically used to free people from crashed cars. After they cut her out, she was able to step out of what remained of the metal folding chair.

Sydney later answered questions about how she got trapped, first addressing how she was able to get in the chair but not out.

‘Yes, I tried getting out the same way I got in. No, I have no idea why I couldn’t get out the same way I got in,’ she said in one video. ‘It just didn’t happen, and I don’t have a better answer than that.’

But the biggest question of them all was why she got in the opening of the chair in the first place.

‘You know what? Like fair enough. I’d be wondering the same s**t, so here it is,’ she explained in her most recent clip. ‘My whole TikTok is basically sex work and giving sex work advice, specifically online sex work. And “stuck” is a fetish category that I am pretty popular in and I’ve done it for about nine years now.

‘And, yeah, I was just working. It’s my job. So, probably not the answer you were expecting, but I was literally just working,’ she added. ‘But I’m glad it made so many of you happy and gave you guys a laugh. It was embarrassing, but, hey, probably the best stuck video I ever made.’

Sydney told BuzzFeed that fans pay $1.99 a minute to watch her trap herself in some way and then try to get free.

‘Typically they want to see you get stuck in something and actually struggle to get out, like not fake it at all,’ she said. ‘They want to see you get unstuck at the end though — they don’t want to see you permanently stuck.’

She explained that she tends to pick situations that she knows she can get out of, and while she has had some close calls, this was the first time she was truly trapped.

PennLive reported that the Ann Arbor Fire Department confirmed responding to reports of a person stuck in a chair on June 8.

Chief Michael Kennedy of the Ann Arbor Fire Department said that requests to get people unstuck are ‘not unusual,’ though he noted that they usually involve getting a child’s head out of a stair banister.

Sydney, who lives on a college campus, admitted to BuzzFeed that she told the firefighters she had gotten stuck in the chair doing a ‘school project’ because she didn’t feel like explaining the niche fetish to them.

‘I’ve done dozens of videos, and I’ve had times before where I’ve panicked and thought that I couldn’t get out of something, but I’ve always pushed myself through it, no matter how bad it hurts,’ she said.

‘I’ve had to unscrew things before but I’ve never actually been entirely stuck like that, it was honestly really scary.’
