North Korea launches army of ‘suicide’ drones to attack and spy on its enemies

North Korea has carried out successful tests on “suicide” drones to attack its enemies and spy on them, it is claimed.

The rogue state is said to have developed the technology to carry out reconnaissance missions.

Military chiefs also claim to have designed drones which can carry out “pincer attacks” on targets, such as South Korean military facilities.

Kim Jong Un aims to start using them in the field from this November following successful tests earlier this month, the Daily NK reports.

The mini unmanned drones are said to be capable of “precision reconnaissance of areas deep within the frontline” and use “universal control technology”.

And the offensive drones are reportedly capable of precision “suicide” attacks on enemy forces.

Tests were carried out over three days from April 10 at a facility in the city of Gusong, a military source claimed.

They were reportedly observed by researchers, engineers and defence officials.

Military authorities reportedly later told Jong Un they had conducted “successful” final tactical and technical data stabilisations tests of the drones.

The chubby tyrant is said to have replied with a personally signed “grateful message”.

His note reportedly said the tests “establishes yet another cornerstone to promote the advancement and strength” of the regime’s army.

He also thanked the researchers and officials involved for making sure the dictatorship’s “historical military advance” is based on the “strongest of military power”, the Daily NK reported.

Military chiefs had aimed to finish the tests by April 15, the birthday of North Korea’s founder Kim Il Sung, it is claimed.

They now reportedly plan to continue researching and developing the drones over the next five years.

The alarming development follows a report which warned the hermit nation could be ready to wage nuclear war with the US and its allies by 2027.

The Asan Institute for Policy Studies and the Rand Corp. warned it may have amassed up to 242 nukes and dozens of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) by then.

Experts claimed North Korea may soon be able to employ the nuclear threats and attacks in “much more coercive and diverse ways,” such as preemptive nuclear strikes.

They said the West should put “all options” on the table to stop it deploying nuclear weapons.
