Huge crocodile grabs whimpering dog while it’s drinking and drags it to its death

This is the horrifying moment an unsuspecting dog drinking from a river was attacked by a crocodile and dragged underwater to its death.

In the video, the stray animal wanders over to the side of the Chambal River in Rajasthan, India, whilst at the same time a crocodile swims up from the depths.

The thirsty mutt doesn’t appear to notice the danger lurking just below the surface and continues to wade right through the shallow water.

Moments later, the huge croc lunges out of the water at breakneck speed and grabs the tiny and helpless dog in its jaws.

The dog briefly whimpers in fright before it is dragged underwater by the crocodile, which presumably then drowns its unlucky prey and eats it.

Rana Pratap Sagar dam, which contains a number of crocodiles that come to the surface to sunbathe, is just behind where the attack was filmed.

The video went viral on YouTube where it divided viewers, with some saying it was the crocodile’s right to eat and others believing the person filming should have attempted to save the dog.

One person wrote: “It’s not a natural phenomenon, crocodile eating a dog is natural? How can you people say this? This is an incident.

“If you save the dog then crocodile is not going to die in hunger.”

“What if there was a human still gonna say it’s nature?” wrote one.

Someone else simply said: “It happens.”

“John Wick will be coming for that crocodile,” joked someone else, in reference to a blockbuster film about a man’s bloodthirsty vengeance for his dog.

This comes after a crocodile ate a shark in stunning photographs captured in Australia by a stunned witness.

Another dramatic snap showed a crocodile commit cannabilism as it fought with a smaller rival and then overpowered and ate it.
