A British influencer who fled Dubai amid a prostitution probe by police has vowed to clear her name as her gran insisted: “She’s done nothing wrong.”
Blonde beauty Bayley Jacob, 22, left the Gulf city after being accused of soliciting for sex by posting on a site for wealthy men seeking “friends with benefits”.
But she was denied advertising services on the Seeking Arrangements site, the Sun reports.
Her grandmother told The Sun: “There is an investigation going on but what’s being claimed is all rubbish.
“She’s not involved in any prostitution, she’s done nothing wrong.
“What will all her followers think? I hope they realise it’s all rubbish too, but they will believe what they want to believe.”
Bayley, who is in her early 20s, is a firm favourite on Instagram with 85,000 followers.
She is now believed to be back at her London home. Her gran said despite doing nothing wrong, it is unlikely she will return to Dubai.
The Seeking Arrangement website is legal in the UK, but it is a crime to even view it in Dubai. The site aims to pair so-called sugar babies with “the world’s largest pool of eligible bachelors and sugar daddies”.
In the strict United Arab Emirates city it could be seen as soliciting, which carries a six-month jail sentence.
Sources say it is part of a wider crackdown on influencers who officials in the Gulf state feel have exploited lockdown loopholes to go there.
Bayley is said to have written on the site: “I’m looking for something mutually beneficial and someone who can mentor me.
“I’m not looking for anyone who is stingy and fake so please if you are like that do not message me.
“I’ve had a few successful arrangements in the past.”
Despite being under investigation, Bayley was allowed to leave Dubai in March, when she went to the Indonesian island of Bali.
The following month her Dubai pad was raided by police and more than £10,000 seized.
Bayley regularly flaunts her luxury lifestyle to her fans, posing in expensive jewellery and bikinis around the globe.
