Covid jab nurse still being harassed by idiot conspiracists who claim she ‘died’

Tennessee nurse Tiffany Dover has become the subject of a sickening conspiracy theory.

The story started on December 17, when Tiffany was one of a group of nurses selected to be shown on a local news programme as they were getting their Covid-19 vaccination.

Shortly after getting the jab, Tiffany momentarily fainted. That’s not a huge surprise – “I have a history of having an overactive vagal response, and so with that if I have pain from anything—hangnail or if I stub my toe—I can just pass out,” she explained.

But that explanation hasn’t been enough for some conspiracy theorists – who have been harassing Tiffany for over a month, insisting that she prove to them that she’s alive.

The video of Tiffany fainting on the local news broadcast – with the part where she recovers and explains about her fainting spells edited out – was posted to numerous anti-vaxx Facebook pages and web forums.

One caption under the video read: “Watch this nurse pass out after receiving the Covid vaccine. It’s so safe though, right? This will become a mass genocide if people continue to follow these rabid dictators.”

Within days the speculation about the thirty-year-old nurse’s health was so intense that CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, the 365-bed hospital where Tiffany works, had to issue a statement assuring the public that she was “home and doing well”.

A hospital spokesperson said: “We appreciate the ongoing concern by the community and media.

“Tiffany and CHI Memorial issued a current video and photograph , on Dec. 21, 2020, of her at the hospital surrounded by nursing leaders, including our Chief Nurse Executive, who support her.

“Our efforts must now turn to caring for an ever growing number of people in our community hospitalised with Covid-19 and vaccinating our caregivers and support staff. We will not be putting out any additional statements or holding any additional interviews concerning this incident. “

The hospital has since refused requests for an interview “to once again debunk a myth that has been debunked numerous times by multiple credible news sources”.

Tiffany has been the subject of wild speculation on Twitter – where some users insist that Tiffany isn’t even the person who fainted and say she was replaced by a colleague named Amber Lynn Honea.

Despite requests for Tiffany’s privacy to be respected, the hospital was still bombarded with comments on social media: “Send a picture of her with a newspaper of the day,” one wrote. “I want to see a video of her talking about it,” said another.

Just one of the “Where IS Tiffany Dover” Facebook groups has over 5,000 members.

Posts on the page show that conspiracy theorists have been obsessively crawling through Tiffany’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, trying to find hidden meanings in family snapshots and tracking down her friends and relatives.

Some have even posted eerie fake “death certificates” which they claim are proof that Tiffany died in December.

It’s not just anti-vaxxers and conspiracy theorists that have convinced themselves that Tiffany had died. Her own Facebook page was flooded with messages from well-wishers saying she “died a hero”.

When family members have issued statements saying that they’ve seen Tiffany, and that she’s very much alive, they have received abuse from people who accuse them of being on the payroll of some great shadowy conspiracy.

The US Centre for Disease Control and Prevention points out on its website that it is not uncommon for people to faint after vaccinations.

Elisa Myzal, a spokesperson for the Chattanooga Police Department, told The Daily Beast that there had been innumerable enquiries from members of the public asking if they were investigating Tiffany’s “death.”

She made it clear that the police are not investigating, because there is no death to investigate: “The police department isn’t involved in this at all because there’s no crime, no death, no nothing,” she said.

“So we don’t really have a strategy or a response.”
