The daughter of a vicious serial killer said she considered suicide to stop her being like her mum.

Shianne Treanor was just 13 when mum Joanna Dennehy received a whole life tariff after admitting murdering three men and seriously injuring two others in Peterborough in 2013.

Her 10-day spree with a “zombie knife” saw her become one of only three women ever jailed with no chance of ever seeing freedom.

It had a devastating effect on teenager Shianne’s mental health and left her wondering if she could be like her evil mum, she told the Sun.

Dennehy, 37, stabbed to death her Polish housemate Lukasz Slaboszewski, 31, property developer Kevin Lee, 48, and John Chapman, 56, in Peterborough before dumping their bodies in ditches.

After her last murder she chillingly called accomplice Gary Stretch, then 46, and sang Britney Spears’ “Oops I Did It Again”.

Dog walkers John Rogers and Robin Bereza survived horrific attacks by Dennehy in random, separate incidents.

Shianne, now 21, said her mum’s crimes sent her into a spiral of mental health crises and she “lost her senses” – ending in her contemplating suicide.

She said: “The first thing I said was, ‘Will I turn into her? Will that be me?’ I have suffered from mental health issues — from eating disorders to self-harming to depression, anxiety, paranoia.

“I thought because I was going to turn into her, ‘Maybe I should end it now, get it over and done with, so I don’t hurt anybody’.”

Shianne features in a documentary The Murderer And Me on Sky tonight at 9pm.

In it she explains how her mum’s hunger for sex, drugs and drink made her childhood a misery and ruined Dennehy’s relationship with Shianne’s dad John Treanor.

The only other women to receive whole life sentences were Rose West in 1995 and Moors murderess Myra Hindley in 2002.

West murdered 10 women and girls including her own daughter and stepdaughter while Hindley, along with lover Ian Brady, killed five children. Hindley died in jail in 2002 aged 60.
