The Queen is set to reach out to Prince Harry and wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex just days after their undescended interview which aired in the UK on Monday.
It’s said that members of The Royal Family are believed to be “reeling” following Harry and Meghan’s claims that the couple faced questions regarding the skin colour of their then-unborn son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
Now, Her Majesty is said to be taking full charge following the fall out which saw the Monarch release a rare personal statement on Tuesday, admitting that the family were “saddened” to learn how Harry and Meghan had felt.

However, Oprah Winfrey, who interviewed the Duke and Duchess stressed that it was neither The Queen nor Prince Philip who made the alleged racist remarks.
Sources have now revealed that Her Majesty is expected to call Prince Harry, 36, and Meghan, 39, in the coming days following Buckingham Palace’s statement.
An unidentified source told the Daily Mail: “It is difficult to underestimate how shell-shocked everyone is by what has happened.

“People are literally reeling from what has happened and some staff would dearly love to publicly rebut some of what has been said about them.
“But the Queen has taken a very measured, sensible approach, she is leading by example, this is a matter for her and the family to deal with.”

The publication also claims that Harry’s grandmother has ordered a “three-line whip” to prevent official palace staff from discussing the dramatic interview publicly.
Following the interview which aired on CBS in the United States on Sunday, there had been calls for Buckingham Palace to issue a statement addressing the claims, however, they waited until Tuesday, following the transmission of the chat in the UK, on ITV.

The statement which was issued on behalf of the Queen read: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.
“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.
“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much-loved family members.”
Buckingham Palace is believed to have had no prior warning about Harry and Meghan’s decision to sit down and chat with Winfrey, during which he revealed he had been left “hurt” after being “financially cut off” and having their diplomatic protection officers taken from them.
Meghan also said that she had contemplated taking her own life during her time as a senior working member of The Firm and was told she wasn’t able to “check in somewhere” for help.
