An anti-vaxxer beauty therapist has said she will not treat anyone who has had the Covid-19 jab.

Sarah McCutcheon, who runs Wellness and Wellbeing With Sarah in Glasgow, Scotland, has said she will not see any customers who have received a vaccine.

She made the controversial statement on her business page, saying: “We will not conduct treatments on any vaccinated person.”

But the National Hair and Beauty Federation, the UK’s largest trade association for hairdressing, barbering and beauty salon owners, responded by saying that her policies go against Government guidance, which need to be followed to keep customers safe, the Daily Record reported.

The business made a statement to customers on Thursday

The health and beauty therapist shared a message from an Australian hair salon on Thursday, which read: “We are not your hairdresser if you have had the Covid vax.”

She added: “We agree and will not conduct massages or treatments on any vaccinated people.”

When one follower asked what the reason behind the decision was, the business responded with a rant about the virus.

Ms McCutcheon said: “Many of my loyal long term clients follow a very natural path and I want to ensure they feel safe in the environment that they come to relax in.

“There is no long-term data to secure us at this moment in time, there are too many related illnesses, they are experimental vaccines and have caused many injury!”

Public Health England research found the Pfizer jab is 96% effective against hospitalisation caused by the dominant Delta variant after two doses, while AstraZeneca is 92% effective.

Despite the success of the vaccination programme, theories and speculation on its safety continue to be shared on social media.

The National Hair and Beauty Federation said it closely follows Covid-19 guidance issued by the Scottish and UK governments, including that around the vaccine roll-out.

The Daily Star has contacted Ms McCutcheon for a comment.
