People have been left living with a ‘foul’ stench caused by chicken manure and can’t ‘open their windows’.

Residents in Aintree, Liverpool, say it’s so ‘awful’ that the ‘disgusting’ smell is affecting them.

The stench, caused by the spread of chicken poo at a local farm, doesn’t post a health risk but has left people complaining.

The Liverpool Echo has reported the issue is now resolved, but neighbours were left with the issue for ‘weeks’.

Mick Walsh wrote on Facebook: “Is anybody else unhappy with the smell coming from the farm on Bull Bridge Lane? It’s horrible, this is not a normal farm smell and it’s been going on for two weeks.
