The star of the Handforth Parish Council Zoom meeting is launching a hilarious podcast.

Every episode of Jackie Weaver Has The Authority will see the 63-year-old joined by TV and comedy stars to answer listeners’ questions.

The first episode on May 18 will feature Strictly’s Anton Du Beke, food critic Jay Rayner and BBC star Jeremy Vine.

Others joining Jackie include film funnyman Omid Djalili, plus stand-ups Matt Forde, Tom Allen, Nigel Ng and Rosie Jones.

In February, Jackie found fame when a recording of a fiery planning committee in Cheshire went viral.

One member warned her: “You have no authority here, Jackie Weaver!”

The new podcast is called Jackie Weaver Has The Authority

Promoting her podcast, Jackie joked: “Now make sure you read the standing orders and subscribe, or you’ll be checking out the wallpaper in the waiting room!”

Topics she and her guests will tackle include: “Is a holiday in the UK a staycation or a holiday?”

Ms Weaver shot to fame when a council meeting she was chairing went viral on social media earlier this year.

It all kicked off between members from the Handforth Parish Council Planning and Environment Committee when chairman Brian Tolver appeared to challenge the legitimacy of a meeting called by two other councillors.

He is heard telling clerk Jackie Weaver: “This meeting has not been called according to the law.

“It’s only the chairman who can remove people from the meeting. You have no authority here Jackie Weaver, no authority at all.”

Ms Weaver then quickly boots Mr Tolver out of the chat, leaving him in the waiting room.

She adds: “This is a meeting called by two councillors. You may now elect a chairman.”

Councillor Aled Brewerton jumps in and says: “Illegally. No, you can’t, because the vice chair’s here. I take charge!”

His father, sitting by his side, whispers: “Don’t.”

But Mr Brewerton struggles to control his rage and yells: “Read the standing orders – read them and understand them!”
