Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle won’t share images of their newborn daughterLilibet until they think it’s “appropriate”, a royal expert has claimed.

The careful and important decision by the royals is a “matter for them alone”, it’s been said.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s second child was born on June 4 and the couple have been busy getting to grips with their growing family.

The pair, who quit royal duties and moved to the US last year, have gone to great lengths to keep son Archie, two, out of the public gaze – and it appears they want to do the same with their baby daughter.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams believes they have every right to maintain Lilibet’s privacy after distancing themselves from Harry’s relatives.

“The lack of a photo so far emphasises that it’s totally up to them what they release when,” he told Entertainment Daily.

“This is fair enough.

“No one has forgotten the contretemps over how Archie’s birth and christening were handled, at the time they were senior working royals and there was a media frenzy which they hated.

“This is obviously completely different as the Sussexes are now totally independent.”

Mr Fitzwilliams added: “They will choose their moment in releasing a photo or photos of Lili when they think it appropriate.

“In a situation like this, they know there will be worldwide interest, so the timing is a matter for them alone.”

The couple, who married in 2018, confirmed Lilibet’s birth in a statement last month.

While they haven’t shared any photos of their daughter, Harry did discuss life as a doting dad-of-two while he was in the UK a fortnight ago.

The couple are said to have ‘hated’ the publicity surrounding son Archie’s christening when they were working royals

He revealed having two kids was “definitely a juggle” at a WellChild Awards party at Kew Gardens.

“We’ve been lucky so far, she’s very chilled and seems happy to just sit there while Archie is running around like crazy,” he told a guest at the event.

Harry is expected to return in the UK in September for an event to honour his late mum Princess Diana – and Meghan and the kids could reportedly join him.
