An influencer has been accused of uploading a coffin-side photo from her mum’s funeral “for likes”.

The devastated young woman shared an open casket shot as she was saying her goodbyes.

She posted the mournful pose straight to Instagram and was quickly hammered online for her actions.

The social media star was branded “tasteless” for sharing a snap of what should have been a precious last few moments with her tragic parent.

The post was captioned: “I love you mommy.”

The influencer’s identity was hidden, but that didn’t stop her being called out for posting from the funeral.

Her picture found its way to Reddit, where hundreds were outraged by what they saw.

It was uploaded to the group subreddit r/Trashy.

Boasting over 2.3 million members, the group is described as a place for “trashy stories, trashy glamour, all things fake, plastic and downright trashy”.

The sombre coffin-side photograph quickly attracted plenty of interest.

Some even accused her of using grief for online attention to up her follower count.

One user wrote: “Why live in the moment when you can live in a facade?”

Another put: “Horribly tasteless… but gotta get those likes”.

While a third poster simply wrote: “Shallow shallow shallow.”

Another parents got plenty of giggles on the website as they joked: “I can honestly say that if my kids post a photo of dead me to social media I will haunt their asses.”

Although there were plenty of negative comments, some were quick to offer their sympathy to the grieving woman.
