Kate Middleton has been pictured with Prince William for the first time since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The Duchess of Cambridge was pictured in the back seat of a car leaving Kensington Palace with her husband on Thursday, March 11.
The couple appeared glum as they were driven out of the royal residence in west London.
During the interview with Oprah, Meghan decided to respond to reports that she had reduced Kate Middleton to tears.
The Duchess of Sussex insisted the opposite had happened, claiming that Kate had made her cry during wedding planning.
Meghan said she did not want to be “disparaging to anyone†and claimed Kate apologised with flowers and a note “to take accountabilityâ€.
It was not a “confrontation†and it would not be “fair†to Kate to go into detail, she said, adding it was “hard to get over†being blamed for something she did not do.
Insiders have since told The Times that Kate’s peace offering at Nottingham College was rejected the following day.
According to the newspaper, Meghan slammed the door in her sister-in-law’s face when she tried to give her a bunch of flowers at the London property.
Harry also claimed that his brother William was still “trapped” within the Royal Family.
He said: “You know, as I’ve said before, I love William to bits. He’s my brother.
“We’ve been through hell together. I mean, we have a shared experience. But, you know, we’re on different paths.”
Royal expert Katie Nicholl earlier told Entertainment Tonight that William was “devastated†at the contents of the interview.
The Vanity Fair correspondent said: “Don’t forget that the Duchess of Cambridge [Middleton] is being dragged into this whole saga and William will hate that and of course, relationship between father [Prince Charles] and son is of course at an all-time low.”
On Tuesday, March 9, William was pictured driving through London – and appeared to have tears in his eyes.
