Top art galleries are suing Pornhub over an app that turns famous paintings into raunchy sex videos.
The adult site has launched “Show Me The Nudes”, which shows classic nude art alongside real-life reenactments.
But bosses at The Louvre and Uffizi Gallery want an end to the “Mona Sleaze-a” and are suing for rights infringements, reports the Daily Beast.
American porn star Asa Akira raved about the “Dickasso” masterpieces by the likes of Italian artist Sandro Botticelli on Instagram.
“Let me help you skip all of the boring paintings like The Mona Lisa and go straight to the pervy stuff at The Louvre, Museo del Prado, Musee d’Orsay, The Met, and more,” she wrote.
“With the @pornhub ClassicNudes mobile site, you can tour the museums with audio commentary by ME! I learned more French recording this than I did in five years of high school. Yes, five.â€
The National Gallery in London is among the six European galleries featured on the interactive site and app – with Adam and Eve by Jan Gossaert shown going at it.
The reason why Spanish master Goya painted a naked woman reclining on a couch looking so satisfied was revealed in the re-enactment of The Naked Maja in Madrid’s Museo Del Prado.
Meanwhile Edgar Degas’s famous Male Nude in New York’s The Met gets a blow-job retelling, and Uffizi’s Venus of Urbino is shown touching herself.
“As a handy rule, anything you see in a classic nude painting that isn’t obviously kinky… is still definitely meant to represent something kinky,†the caption under Venus of Urbino claims.
It suggested Italian Renaissance painter Titian wanted to represent female genitalia by placing the red flower in the Goddess of Love’s hand above her privates.
“The rumpled sheets are supposed to make this untouchable goddess of love feel like flesh and blood—and pretty much as scruffy as we are,†it said.
“Also, the fact that this Venus is so nonchalant about displaying all the godly goods—despite the room being weirdly busy for a spot of naked lounging—gives the scene an extra erotic charge.â€
The launch was narrated by Italian pornographic actress Cicciolina, whose stage name is Ilona Staller, and whose video re-enactment of Botticelli’s Venus quickly morphs into a lively orgy.

A spokesman for the Uffizi in Florence, Italy, said: “No one has granted authorisations for the operation or use of the art.
“In Italy, the cultural heritage code provides that in order to use images of a museum, compressed works for commercial purposes, it is necessary to have the permission, which regulates the methods and sets the relative fee to be paid.
“All this obviously if the museum grants the authorisation which, for example, would hardly have been issued in this case.â€
A spokesman for The Louvre in Paris said: “Pornhub has heard from our lawyers. We expect the works to be removed at once.â€
