Musk to become ‘technoking’ of Tesla

Elon Musk has a new job title — the “technoking” of Tesla, the electric car company has announced.

Zach Kirkhorn, chief financial officer, meanwhile has become “master of coin”. The titles became effective on Monday, Tesla said in a one-line statement.

It is the latest unconventional update from the US-listed group, which last month said it had put $1.5bn worth of its financial reserves into bitcoin.

Tesla added that the pair would retain their respective positions as chief executive and CFO.
