Prince Charles ‘upset and cut up’ after Harry claimed he ‘stopped taking his calls’

Prince Charles is “upset” with Prince Harry and “cut up” over his son’s claims that he had been cut off financially from the Royal Family, a source close to the Prince of Wales said.

The Duke of Sussex claimed his father, Charles, had cut him off financially in an interview with friend and U.S. chat show host Oprah Winfrey.

As he sat next to pregnant Meghan Markle, Prince Harry claimed the couple’s decision to step down as senior members of the Firm wouldn’t have been possible if it were not for the money Princess Diana left for him as a child.

This is because his dad cut him off shortly after their move, Harry claimed, an accusation which the Queen’s so is reportedly “very upset” and “cut up” about, a source told The Times.

Harry went on to describe his relationship with his father as “a lot of hurt,” adding that he felt “really let down” by him.

The 37-year-old also said Charles “stopped” taking Harry’s calls at one point, and finally, “financially cut me off.”

A friend of the prince disputed the claims, claiming Charles was surprised to hear Harry had been cut off “given the bank statements.”

The friend added that the future King is “keeping his private life his private life” and “getting on” with his job.

A source said: “He’s very upset and cut up . . . but he’s keeping his private life private and getting on with the job. It was a surprise to hear he’d been cut off, given the bank statements.”

Another friend of Prince Charles reportedly slammed Harry’s claims as “f***ing hypocrisy” and noted that Meghan and the Duke of Sussex had said they wanted to become “financially independent” of the Firm.

The source told The Times: “Harry said his father financially ‘cut him off’. What f***ing hypocrisy.

“When Harry and Meghan left last year, they wanted to become “financially independent.”

The Prince of Wales also allegedly gave support to the couple after their move to America while they “found their feet,” a third source told the publication.
