Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sent shockwaves through the Royal Family when the pair opened up on life in the Firm to U.S. chat show host Oprah Winfrey.

The couple’s grievances were broadcast around the world, and included allegations of institutional racism and lack of support for former Suits star Meghan.

Harry dealt Prince Charles a “low blow” of his own, royal expert Duncan Larcombe said, which came in the form of the Duke saying his father was “trapped” in his role.

Despite Prince Harry’s appearance at Prince Philip’s funeral, sparking rumours of reconciliation, the expert claims there is still “a lot of bad blood” between the royals.

Prince Charles and Prince Harry have a lot of “bad blood” between them, a royal expert said

He said: “When it comes to Prince Charles, Harry was clearly attacking his own father.

“There is a hell of a lot of bad blood between Charles and Harry and you can kind of understand it.”

Mr Larcombe told The Sun that Charles, who will be King of England one day, feels as though Prince Harry is “trying to sweep the mat from under his feet”.

“Prince Charles has been waiting to become King since the age of four, and it reaches the point when it is going to be in the not-too-distant future that his job will finally start,” he said.

“And he’s got his very popular, very high-profile son trying to sweep the mat from under his feet from saying his father and Prince William are trapped.”

Mr Larcombe went on to point out that Charles has spent almost 70 years preparing and learning foreign languages and reading for the role of King, only for his son to deal him a “low blow.”

He said: “So for Harry to throw insults at his brother not wanting to be king is one thing, but to say it about your father who has waited 70 years to do that job, that’s about as low a blow as Harry could have dealt his dad.”

Representatives for Buckingham Palace and the Sussexes have been contacted for comment.

Harry also told Oprah he didn’t “see a way out” of the Firm before he claimed his father and brother, Prince William, were trapped and don’t “get to leave” like he did.

Meanwhile Meghan said her husband’s decision to step down as a senior Royal “save” her by making the decision.
