Prince William ‘sick to his stomach’ at Oprah interview Emmy nomination, expert predicts

The future King of England Prince William “will feel sick to the pit of his stomach” at Prince Harry and sister-in-law Meghan Markle’s tell-all Oprah interview being tipped for a major award, it has been claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex‘s bombshell chat with Oprah Winfrey, in which the pair made shocking allegations of racism and other issues within the Royal Family, has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy award.

During the chat Meghan claimed to Oprah that in a conversation with Prince Harry that she wasn’t a part of, an unnamed member of the Royal Family raised concerns about the colour Archie’s skin would be.

Prince Harry also claimed that his brother Prince William and his father Prince Charles “feel trapped” by the monarchy.

Meanwhile, Meghan alleged to Oprah that William’s wife the Duchess of Cambridge made her cry during planning for her wedding.

And Royal expert Duncan Larcombe told OK! : “William will feel sick to the pit of his stomach at Harry and Meghan’s Emmys nod.

“The interview was an attack on his family and his wife and is now being heralded as one of the entertainment moments of the year.”

He went on: “The Emmys nod is more bad news for the royals. It means that as the awards gain momentum, once again Harry and Meghan’s attack on the institution will be repeated over and over again.”

At the time of first broadcast, it took the Royal Family two days to respond to the accusations.

Eventually, a formal statement was released that read: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.

“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning.

“While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”

On his first public appearance after the interview aired, Prince William told the media “We are very much not a racist family”.

Oprah with Harry and Meghan: A CBS Primetime Special is nominated in the “outstanding hosted nonfiction series or special” category.

It goes up against the likes of Netflix’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman, CNN’s Stanley Tucci: Searching For Italy and United Shades of America with Kamau Bell, and Showtime’s Vice, with the winner announced on Sunday, September 19.
