Her Majesty has a “spring in her step” and is “focusing on the positives” after lockdown despite the drama between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and the Royal Family, an expert has claimed.
The Queen, 95, appeared in top form this month as she celebrated her official birthday and attended the G7 Summit where she spoke with world leaders.
It comes only two months after Prince Philip’s funeral and weeks after claims she was “never asked” about her great-granddaughter’s name, Lilibet, which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have disputed.
But after living through lockdowns and strict Covid social distancing rules, it seems the monarch has come out the other side with a smile.
Dickie Arbiter, the Queen’s former press secretary, told The Sun: “There’s a new spring in her step.”
“She’s had a lot to contend with but she’s come out of it. She’s very stoic, very pragmatic.
“I think she’s being very cheery, but then we’re all coming out of lockdown, we’re all coming out of restrictions – unless we can be positive about it, why be gloomy?â€
The Queen, who “enjoys meeting people” met with US President Joe Biden and other world leaders earlier this month.

She left Biden and French leader Emmanuel Macron chuckling after she made jokes at Cornwall’s Eden Project.
She also insisted on using a ceremonial sword to slice a cake despite having an ordinary knife nearby, leaving guests in fits of giggles at the royal engagement.
Mr Arbiter says the monarch has had “knock backs”, with the death of the Duke Edinburgh in April and Harry and Meghan’s bombshell Oprah interview in March, followed by Harry’s own docuseries with the US host last month.
Despite these events and isolating in a bubble at Windsor Castle during the pandemic – which “must have been very difficult” for Her Majesty – the former aide says she is “coping incredibly well”.
He added: “It’s not about turning your back on family issues, but life does have to go on and with her life does go on.â€
Mr Arbiter continued that there’s no sign yet the Queen will stop fulfilling her duty, saying “She’s got a spring in her step and she’s enjoying life”.
