Good morning. After a two-week break we’re pleased to announce that FT Alphaville’s live markets chat is back in full force today, with a twist. And that twist is Twitter-flavoured. Yes, on request from many irate US-based followers with Android devices, we’re going to switch it up and host our daily markets chat on Twitter’s new Spaces feature at 4pm BST (that’s British Summer Time for those who don’t know, which is five hours ahead of EST. And no, it doesn’t refer to a game of lawn bowls or a spot of cricket; it’s just a time zone OK).
If you’re not sure what Spaces is, it’s a Clubhouse rip-off live voice-chat forum which you can access via the Twitter app. Here’s what it will look like on the app, in case you’re unclear:
See those joined-together avatars at the top? Yep, that represents a “Spaceâ€. Simply click on the one with our perfectly symmetrical mugs (Izzy’s @izakaminska and Jamie’s @ajb_powell specifically) at 4pm BST, and hey presto, you’ll be able to listen in. And, if you’re feeling brave, even ask a question of us. No promises we’ll have the answers though.
