A trainee paramedic is desperately appealing for information after her car was stolen.

To make matters worse, Keya-Macy’s ambulance uniform, vital PPE and university coursework were all inside the blue Mercedes at the time.

She’s been left feeling “sick” at the invasion of privacy and is devastated she can no longer drive to work or see her family from a distance after the long winter lockdown.

The Hertfordshire local is a third-year paramedic student at South East Coast Ambulance Service and also works for the East of England Ambulance Service.

Keya will be a fully qualified paramedic in just two months, and the theft couldn’t have happened at a worse time.

She relies on her car to get to and from work every day, and was devastated when it was stolen in Chadwell, Ware at around 3am on Sunday morning.

Unfortunately, she didn’t even realise the car was missing until about 10am on Monday morning.

In a tweet pleading for help on Monday, she said: “Last night at 3am somebody stole my car in Ware.

“It unfortunately has my ambulance uniform, PPE and University work in.

“Please please share this as much as you can. Any help is very much appreciated. It has been reported and my REG is FV65RVO.”

Her post has since been shared thousands of times, for which Keya is grateful — even though some responses have made fun of how the car is parked in the photo, which was taken at the dealership before she bought it.

She told the Daily Star: “I am so so grateful for everybody’s efforts sharing it.

“I am so desperate to get it back, I know it’s just a car and bigger things are happening in the world but I am unable to get to work, to see family from a distance now lockdown is easing after so long and the invading of my privacy makes me feel sick.

“Just thank you so much for everyone’s help!”

The Mercedes has a number of unique features she’s hoping people might notice, including a custom cream interior, blue rings around the air vents on the dashboard and a crack in the indicator of the left wing mirror.

Anyone who may have spotted the car is urged to get in touch with the police as soon as possible.

Keya said she hasn’t received any updates on the investigation since she reported the car stolen.

Hertfordshire Police have been approached for comment.
