The UK will be soaked in glorious sunshine and roasted in sizzling temperatures this weekend as temperatures reach 30C in some parts of the country – with 31C not far off.
The very best of the weather will be in London, the midlands, and the north east but every corner of Britain will bask in its fair share of sun.
While Saturday will be stonking, Sunday will go one better with the hottest day of the year so far set to be smashed.
Pub gardens, sunbathing, swims in the sea, parties in the park, and barbecues will all be on the agenda as Brits kick back and enjoy some well-earned tropical tasting weather.

BBC Weather said: “Today much of the UK will see a sunny day, along with some fair-weather cloud. It will be very warm across England and Wales.
“And tomorrow, the southern UK will continue sunny and very warm.”

Saturday
London and the southeast
London and the southeast will see some of the best sunshine on Saturday with temperatures predicted to reach 27C.
The hottest part of the day will be around 4pm but it will remain in the mid-20s through the evening for perfect barbecue weather.

South
The south of England will be slightly cooler than London but you will still need to stick on healthy amounts of sunscreen as it reaches 26C.
On the south coast and the south west it will also be hot with most of the key seaside towns basking in the mid-20s.
Midlands
The midlands will be even hotter than the tradition UK sunspots of London and the south east on Saturday.
The forecasters are predicting that temperatures will reach 28C at around 4pm in most parts of the midlands, including Birmingham.

Wales
In Wales Saturday’s weather will be a mix bag with parts of mid-Wales enjoying glorious 27C heat.
North Wales and south Wales will be colder but locals will still be able to enjoy ripe sunshine at 23C.
North of England
The weather in the north of England on Saturday will be some of the best in the country with parts of the north east reaching 29C.
The north east will be a couple of degrees cooler and central town and cities such as Leeds will enjoy temperatures of 28C.
Scotland/Northern Ireland
The south of Scotland and the east coast will be the hottest areas north of the border but elsewhere breaking over 20C may prove difficult.
In Northern Ireland the finest weather will be in Belfast and Ballymena where the mercury will rise to 24C.

London and the southeast
London and the south east should reach the enviable roasting summer heat of 30C on Saturday afternoon.
This should mean that it will be the hottest day of the year in 2021 so far it if manages to smash the previous record from June.
South
Coastal temperatures in the south and the south west won’t feel as warm as inland areas.
However, the beaches are going to sizzle with popular seaside towns Brighton and Bournemouth reaching 25C.

Midlands
Sunday in the midlands will pretty much replicate the weather on Saturday with the temperatures in the high 20s throughout.
Stratford and Worcester will be the hottest if you want that extra kick of heat.
Wales
Cardiff and the south east of Wales will see incredible temperatures on Saturday with 29C predicted.
The north of Wales will feel somewhat colder but central wales and the south west will reach around 25C.
North of England
Once again the north east will get the better of the summer weather on Sunday with temperatures up to 29C.
The north west will still be warm but some parts will struggle to get over 20C.
Scotland/Northern Ireland
The warmest weather in Northern Ireland will be around 20C and the picture in Scotland is very similar.
It may not be sunbathing weather but it will be warm enough to make the very best out of the day.

According to BBC’s long-range weather forecast, it predicts the heatwave will come to an end sometime next week.
Around July 23 and 24, the weather will become more unsettled, with the chance of rain spoiling the baking sunshine.
The BBC said: “We will see greater chances for low-pressure systems to move in and bring some fresher and wetter conditions.”
