Vladimir Putin named ‘Russia’s sexiest man’ in president’s latest propaganda blitz

Vladimir Putin has been named Russia’s sexiest man.

The Russian president, famed for being photographed topless, was voted as the best looking male in a survey of 2,000 of the country’s adults.

He was the only man to reach double figures, with 18% of men and 17% of women naming the 68-year-old bachelor the most attractive man in the country.

However, his score was 1% lower than last year, according to the poll by job site SuperJob.

“Russians still call Vladimir Putin the most attractive of the famous men in the country,” the site said.

“In this field neither actors, nor athletes, nor other politicians can compete with him today.”

Images of a topless Putin on horseback and fishing while on holiday have attracted mixed opinions in the past.

So much so that in 2018 the Kremlin leader denied he was bothered by the shots, saying there was “no need to hide behind bushes”.

Putin’s closest rivals were actors Dmitry Nagiyev, Danila Kozlovsky and Konstantin Khabensky, but only 2-3% of those surveyed said the trio were better looking.

The surprise findings were released just days after a new law was passed to enable Putin to remain as president until 2036.

The survey included 1,000 men and 1,000 women across more than 300 Russian cities from March 22-31.

The announcement comes just days after Russia said the Ukraine was about to be “destroyed” by war as it deployed 25,000 troops and tanks to the countries’ disputed border.

The Kremlin added it will ”take extra measures” if NATO sends forces to help Ukraine amid fears it was stoking tensions in the Donbass region.
