A 21-year-old woman has appeared in court, charged with the attempted murder of a man and woman.

Lauren Walsh was charged after the pair were stabbed in the back and chest yesterday in Liverpool’s Old Swan area.

Officers were called to Southgate Road in Liverpool at around 3.15pm yesterday following reports of the attack, and a knife was recovered at the scene.

Paramedics also attended the scene and both victims were rushed to hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The man and woman who were stabbed are believed to be a young couple with a baby, that have lived on the street for a few months and “kept themselves to themselves”.
